Thomas A. Arganbright, 84, of Windsor, Illinois, died at 4:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2009 in Shelby Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Steven Becker officiating. Visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery, Windsor, Illinois with military rites by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, Illinois, American Cancer Society or donor’s choice.

Mr. Arganbright was born on January 24, 1925 in Shelby County, Illinois, the son of Arthur and Esther Orma Robison Arganbright. He graduated from Windsor High School in the Class of 1943 and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. Tom was a foreman at Blaw-Knox in Mattoon, Illinois and also farmed in the Windsor area until his retirement. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg and Shelby County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and bowling. He married Geraldine Schultz on February 15, 1953 in Strasburg, Illinois. She died on January 11, 1992.

Surviving are his sister, Vera Dodd of Windsor; brother-in-law, Eugene Schultz and wife Phyllis of Mattoon; sisters-in-law, Gene Arganbright of Shelbyville and Lorene Reinhart of Mattoon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geraldine; brother, Dwight Arganbright; and sister, Mary Tripp.
