Thurman E Vance

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Brother Darrell Best officiating. Visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be given to Lincolnland Visiting Nurses.
Thurman was born on December 15, 1960 in Tampa, FL, the son of Thurman Eugene and Evelyn Whitfield Vance, Sr. He worked for many years at International Paper in Shelbyville. Thurman enjoyed shooting pool and was on the Shelby Bowl Team in the local pool league. He married Teri Barrett Dilley on December 5, 2008.
Surviving are his wife Teri; daughter, Heather Vance of Taylorville; step-son, Casey Dilley of Shelbyville; step-daughters, Kelci Dilley at home and Savannah Dilley and Sierra Dilley both of Shelbyville; mother, Evelyn Howard of Springhill, FL; grandson, Logan Waterman of Taylorville; sister, Patty Laws and husband Roger of McMinnville, TN; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Judy Barrett of Westervelt.
He was preceded in death by his father; and step-father, Butch Howard.
