Tillie V Ruff

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shelbyville with Dr. David Middleton officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shelbyville.
Mrs. Ruff was born on February 19, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Stanley and Tillie Kucieba Wengiel. She was a manager for the Kingsbury Ordinance Plant in Kingsbury, IN and later owned and operated a restaurant in Knox, IN. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shelbyville. Tillie married John Howard Ruff on October 9, 1937. He died on March 10, 2006.
Surviving are her son, Richard Howard Ruff and wife Shirley of Schererville, IN; sisters, Mildred Keller of Hamlet, IN, Helen Jacobs of La Porte, IN and Genevieve Jacobs of Security, CO; three grandchildren, Timothy Ruff of Colorado Springs, CO, Michael Ruff and wife Laurel of Plano, TX and Tracy Lynn Daudet and husband Randy of Chesterton, IN; and five great grandchildren, Daniel, Melissa, Austin, Anna and Evan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Joe, Mitchell and William Wengiel.
