Todd A Wiandt
(June 11, 1988 – May 17, 2018)

Todd lived with the effects of Type 1 diabetes from a young age, he chose to live each day with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine concern for others. Todd was born on June 11, 1988 in Springfield, IL, the son of Michael and Shirley (Walker) Wiandt. He graduated from Niles West High School in Skokie, IL and attended Oakton Community College to obtain his Pharmacy Technician certification. He completed his Medical Assistant program from Job Corps in Phoenix, AZ and went on to obtain certifications in: EKG Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant from Gateway Community College, Phoenix, AZ. He worked for One Voice Community Center, Sun Pain Management, United Blood Services and Apria Healthcare and the Maricopa County Department of Corrections. He was elected in 2016 as a Democratic Precinct Committeeman for Maricopa County, AZ.
Todd was very invested in the well-being of others, learning the purpose of community at a young age as a member of Boy Scouts. Academically, he excelled at science and was a part of the Science Olympiad in school. Todd was a very loyal person and that loyalty extended to his favorite sports team, the Chicago Cubs. Todd had encyclopedic knowledge of the Cubs and his other favorite sports teams. A social butterfly who loved the company of friends and family, he was rarely seen without a smile on his face, he actively sought out those who needed a friend or kind word. Todd was a tireless advocate for immigration, education, and healthcare reform and will be missed by his community of fellow volunteers in Arizona.
He is survived by his father, Mike of Phoenix, AZ; maternal grandmother, Gertha Walker of Taylorville, IL; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley; maternal grandfather, Ross Walker; his paternal grandparents, Waldo and Linda Wiandt; and his cousins, Stan Rentfro and Michael Walker.
