Tonya F. Lane-Sosby , 53, of Paris, KY, formerly of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 in University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital, Lexington, KY.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 in Findlay Cemetery, Findlay, IL. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or Saving Orphaned Animals Shelby County. Arrangements are by Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Tonya was born on January 14, 1970 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Sandra Scribner. She attended Findlay Schools. Tonya was an avid reader, loved animals, and enjoyed fishing at Lake Shelbyville. Tonya married Mary Sosby on October 30, 2021.

Tonya is survived by her wife, Mary of Paris, KY; son, Derek Ray of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Tina Reis (Michael) of Ohio; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Anderson; brother, Todd Anderson; and twin-sister, Sonya Scribner.
