Tucker K Schwengel

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Shelby Christian Church, 200 N. Hickory St., Shelbyville, IL, with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Shelbyville High School Football Team.

Tucker was born on June 4, 1995 in Mattoon, Illinois the son of Kenneth and Stephanie (Chesnut) Schwengel. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 2013 and attended Millikin University in Decatur, IL.
Tucker loved football, playing for the Shelbyville Rams and Millikin University. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and his music. Through family vacations, Tucker had visited all 50 states. He was a member of Shelby Christian Church. Tucker had the best smile, a great sense of humor and was always happy. He was a great athlete, a great friend and a wonderful son and brother.

He is survived by his parents, Kenny and Stephanie Schwengel of Arthur, IL; sisters, Alex Schwengel of Shelbyville, IL and Daley Schwengel of Arthur, IL; paternal grandparents, Phil and Sharon Schwengel of Tuscola, IL; maternal grandparents, Steve and Martha Chesnut of Atwood, IL; aunts, Lorri Kenny (Ron) of Champaign, IL, and Monica Davis (Scott) of Hammond, IL; uncle, O’Neal Chesnut (Candace) of Newburgh, IN; cousins, Natalie, Valerie, Nicholas, Christopher, Kimberly, Noah, Jacob, Chloe, Hunter and Lily and their families; and his girlfriend, Jade Becker of Mt. Zion, IL.
