Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating. Friends and family may gather from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals, Shelbyville, IL.
Pauline was born on November 24, 1926 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Harold Fay and Ida Belle (McNeese) McDonald. She graduated from Westervelt High School in the Class of 1944. Pauline worked at the Kay Drive-In Theater and the Index Store both in Shelbyville and retired from Rockome Gardens in Arcola, IL. She was a member of the Westervelt Christian Church and attended the First Christian Church of Shelbyville. Pauline was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Shelbyville for over 55 years. She enjoyed caring for animals, baking and crocheting. She married Charles William “Bill” Burnett in 1957. He died on January 15, 1999.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Vasquez (Frank) of Houston, TX, Kay Gatton (Henry) of Shelbyville, IL, Cheryl Moore of Effingham, IL and Barry Burnett (Anita) of Arthur, IL; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 15 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one great grandchild.
