Virginia D King

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan, IL. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Preemption Cemetery, Preemption, IL. Memorials may be given to her family. Local arrangements by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.
Virginia was born on August 23, 1927 in Preemption, IL, the daughter of Manford A. and Nellie L. Robinson Davidson. She was a retired seamstress and once made an exact replica of Lady Diana’s wedding dress. Virginia also enjoyed quilting and was a member of a quilting group in Milan, IL. She married James D. King on November 15, 1950. He died on February 16, 1994.
She is survived by her son, James M. King and wife Jeri of Harker Heights, TX; daughter, Margie L. Campbell and husband Richard of Strasburg, IL; brother, Donald M. Davidson and wife Beverly of East Moline, IL; sisters, Mildred L. Fath of East Moline, IL and Patricia A. Lair and husband Richard of Camdenton, MO; grandchildren, Cody King and wife Christy, Jayme Collins and husband Dan, and Amy Campbell and fiancé T. J. Smith; and two great grandchildren, Austin and Jaxson Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, James D. King.
