Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2007 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with Dr. David Middleton officiating. Visitation one hour prior to services in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville.
Virginia was born on February 11, 1916 in Shelbyville, Illinois, the daughter of Emmitt Bruce “Jack” and Inez Maude Medler Mercer. She worked for a mail order company until her retirement.
Surviving are her son, James H. “Jim” Jones and wife Kathy of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughters, Margaret Foulk of Chicago and Dorothy Keller of Glendale Heights;
11 grandchildren; 23great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
