Virginia M. Buescher

Virginia May Buescher , 85, of Decatur, IL, passed away peacefully Sunday morning May 21, 2023, in her residence with her family by her side.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 in Glenwood Cemetery, Section B, Shelbyville, IL with Pastor Dave Dolan officiating.  Arrangements are by Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.  Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Virginia was born on January 7, 1938 in Nokomis, IL, the daughter of Lonnie Joe and Verla Lavina (Brown) Murkin.  She worked for General Electric, Mueller Company and Caterpillar all in Decatur, IL.

She is survived by her sons, Randy Dale (Debra) Buescher of Decatur, IL, and Donald Lee Buescher of Blue Mound, IL; daughters, Rose Marie Moore of Summerville, SC; and Janet Lynn (Michael) Crawley of Tower Hill, IL; four grandchildren, Christopher M. (Katrina) Moore, Tonya Marie (Del) Foster, Caitla Marie (Brock) Little, and Mila Karsyn Little; sisters, Bonnie Carlson of Litchfield,  Shelby Girrulat of Pana, Sue (Dwayne) Bendorf of Mattoon, Marilyn Carroll of Mason City, and Rhonda (Terry) Harbaugh of Pesotum; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leroy, Gary and Bobby Murkin; and sister, Joan Cloe.
