Vivian A. (Hilliard) Perryman, 82, of Decatur, formerly of Shelbyville, died at 8:28 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2007 in St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with Arnold Hilliard officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville.

Mrs. Perryman was born on November 5, 1924 in Lakewood, Illinois, the daughter of Jeff and Inez Hanes Hilliard. She worked at Eisner’s and the Anna B. Millikin Home both in Decatur. She was a member of TOPS in Decatur. She married Joseph “Joe” E. Perryman on May 9, 1942 in Corning, Arkansas. He died on July 15, 1999.

Surviving are her son, Stephen Perryman and wife Elizabeth of Warrensburg; daughter, Connie Patient of Orange City, Florida; brother, Arnold Hilliard and wife Shirley of Taylorville; sister-in-law, Pat Hilliard of Taylorville; four grandchildren, Joseph Jeffery Perryman, Samuel Kenneth Perryman and wife Bobbi Michelle, Jeffrey Lynn Patient and fiancé Amy Campbell, and Christina Marie Patient; two step grandchildren, Bonnie Bagley and husband Brad of Decatur and Barbie Cook and fiancé Dennis Henderson of Terre Haute, Indiana; two great grandchildren, Trenton Krystopher Patient and Alexis Mariah Patient; seven step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; sons, Joseph Wayne and Roger Lee Perryman; son-in-law, Aaron Patient; and brother, Jack Hilliard.
