Walter F. Haley, 64, of Shelbyville, died at 11:47 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Burial will be held at a later date in Robinson Cemetery, Hannibal, MO. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements.
Walter was born on August 29, 1944 in Hannibal, MO, the son of Rev. Issac and Ella Boux Haley. He was a retired truck driver.
Surviving are his companion of over 31 years, Minnie Abbey of Shelbyville; daughter, Dean’na D. Haley of Hannibal, MO; brother, Issac Haley, Jr. of Hannibal, MO; sisters, Adelaide Haley and Mildred Haley both of St. Louis, MO and Deloris Bruce, Lorana Haley and Linda Borders all of Chicago; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
