Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Robert Cannon officiating. Visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Tower Hill Cemetery, Tower Hill, IL. Memorials may be given to Tower Hill Free Methodist Church or Lakewood United Methodist Church.
Wanda was born on September 1, 1924 in Tower Hill, Illinois, the daughter of Russell and Daisy Opal Banning Barringer. She graduated from Lakewood High School. Wanda worked at International Paper in Shelbyville until her retirement. She was a member of Tower Hill Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are her son, Orval W. Miller and wife Linda of Tower Hill; half-sister, Peggy Ryan of Riverside, CA; grandchildren, Shelby Rowley and husband Brad and Mike Miller and wife Jennifer all of Tower Hill; great grandchildren, Therron Marsh, John Miller and William Miller all of Tower Hill; nephew, Richard Petty and wife Rachel of Columbus, OH; and cousin, Imogene McElroy of Tower Hill and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Roma Brownlee; brothers, Roy Barringer and Dean Brownlee; and sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Merrill Petty.
