Wanda Lou Trimble, 78, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 4:25 a.m., Monday, March 10, 2025, at Pana Health and Rehab, Pana, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL, with Rev. Nathan Woolery officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to HSHS St. John’s Hospital Foundation.
Wanda was born on June 16, 1946, in Clarksburg, IL, the daughter of Walter Lee and Edna Etta (Shanholtzer) Severe. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1964. Wanda married Robert Harland Trimble on October 11, 1967, and he preceded her in death on October 9, 2009. After raising her two boys, Wanda worked at Olivewood Health Care Center and Sta-Rite, both in Shelbyville. Wanda enjoyed baking, reading books, and spending time with her niece, Lisa Wren.
Wanda is survived by her two sons, Robert Trimble and wife Patricia of Decatur, IL, and Joseph Trimble and wife Wendy of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Velma Dilley of Shelbyville, IL; four grandchildren, Courtney Blalock (Carson), Mallory Trimble, Noah Trimble (fiancée Saige Overton), and Nathan Trimble; and six great grandchildren, Maxie, Harlyn, Perry, and Liam Blalock, and Chandler and Chesney Muller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; brothers, Walter Lee Severe, Jr., Harvey Severe and Virgil Severe; and sisters, Virginia Mahnke, Dolly Severe, Wilma Severe, Norma Mose, Catherine Woolard and Barbara Mahnke.
