Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Kyle Blackerby officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Save Our Chautauqua.
Warren was born on February 16, 1949 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Morris Howard and Goldie Himes Williams. He graduated from Mattoon High School in the Class of 1968. He was employed for 22 years with the Bitzer-Taggart Motor Company in Shelbyville. He was then employed with the auto dealerships of Perry Thomas and Ridings-Xamis-Crews both in Shelbyville and, at the time of his retirement, Bob Riding’s in Pana, IL. Warren enjoyed watching baseball and basketball games on television. He married Colleen Ann Miller on January 12, 1968 in Mattoon, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen; daughters, Tammy Carlock and husband William of Cowden, IL and Robin Banning and husband Brad of Cowden, IL; sisters, Barbara Buesking and husband Wayne of Decatur, IL, Mary Durbin and husband Lloyd of Stewardson, IL and Geneva Williams of Phoenix, AZ; and two grandchildren, Jamie and Erin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-mother, Margaret Sinclair Williams.
