Wayne Eugene Parks , 64, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 4:18 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022 in Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Kerry Campbell officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.  Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lakewood, IL.

Wayne was born on September 18, 1957 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Minor J. “Sonny” and Retta Elaine (Welton) Parks.  He attended Shelbyville High School and was a member of the Class of 1975.  Wayne owned and operated A-1 Clean Up in Shelbyville, IL. He previously worked for Lithia Springs Marina as a security guard and for Toll Tree Service both in Shelbyville. Wayne enjoyed trading and was a member of the Possum Lodge in Shelbyville.

He is survived by his brothers, Jim Parks (Debbie) of Shelbyville, IL, Larry Parks of Lakewood, IL and Daryl Bloxom of Shelbyville, IL; sister-in-law, Melissa Parks of Shelbyville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Terry Parks; and companion, Pam Burwell.
