Woodrow Wilson, 93, a resident of the Hawthorne Inn, died at 3:09 am Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg, IL.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Grace Cemetery in Strasburg, IL with Rev. George Terry officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL.

He was born on March 13, 1918 at Strasburg, Illinois, the son of William and Mae (Figgenbaum) Wilson. He married Melba R. Terry on June 28, 1942. She preceded him in death on June 8, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Zoe Wilson Bushouse.

Woodrow is survived by his brother-in-law, George (and Anna) Terry of Abingdon; three nieces, Zoe Ann (and Ed) Cerny, Marsha (and Dick) Keene, Patricia (and Mark) Hill; one nephew, Michael (and Teresa) Terry.

He graduated from Strasburg High School in 1936. He then attended and graduated from Sparks Business College in Shelbyville, Illinois in 1937. He was a civilian employee of the United States government.

After the passing of his wife, he moved on July 27, 1999 from Roswell, New Mexico to live and make his home at the Hawthorne Inn in Galesburg, IL.
