Zelma L. (Getz) Lidster, 97, of Shelbyville, died at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008 in the Eastern Star Home in Macon, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday April 21st in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating. Eastern Star services will be held at 1:45 p.m. Monday. Visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to Eastern Star Home in Macon.

Zelma was born on July 11, 1910 in Shelby County, Illinois, the daughter of William and Clara Salmons Getz. She graduated from Sparks Business College in Shelbyville in1929. She married Chester L. Lidster on August 10, 1932 in Shelbyville. They owned and operated Chet’s Roller Rink in Shelbyville. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Shelbyville, Theta Pi Gamma Sorority of Sparks College, Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 69 of Shelbyville and White Shrine of Jerusalem.

Surviving are her daughter, Judy Friske and husband Jack of Akron, Iowa; brother, Forrest Getz and wife Betty of Findlay; grandchildren, Nikki Green, Megan York, Andy York, Sean Kelly, Donald Kelly, Ray Kelly, Roy Kelly and Amber Kelly; nephews, Dennis Getz and Jack Getz both of Findlay, Bill Getz of Winter Haven, FL, Mike Getz of Gurnee, and Jim Getz of Quickburg, VA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester on June 2, 1990; daughter, Ruby York; and brother, Floyd Getz; granddaughter Neely Stivers and nephew Gene Getz.
