Robert N Tull

Visitation will be from 4:00 -6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Family and friends are also invited to gather from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the funeral home before the graveside services at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL, with Rev. Dan Seibert officiating. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, IL.
Robert was born on April 10, 1933 on a farm near Windsor in Shelby County, IL, the son of Ben and Diantha Nevada (Mason) Tull. He attended Windsor High School. Robert worked as a tool maker at Shelby Tool and Die and also worked at Caterpillar and Prairie Land Machine. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, IL, where he was active in Kum Friendly Sunday School Class, United Methodist Men, Chancel Choir and the Men’s Gospel Chorus. Robert married Patricia Cresswell on July 22, 1971.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Tull of Shelbyville, IL; his daughters, Cynthia Tull of Shelbyville, IL, Connie Tull of Springfield, IL, Diana Winson of Benton, IL, and Debra Winson of Charleston, IL; his son, Robert Tull of Shelbyville, IL; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, M. Ray Tull, Dale Tull, Richard Tull, and Ben Howard Tull; and sisters, Margaret Lahr, Lola Meador, Nancy Krick, Thelma Reed, Zelma Giarrusso, and Vada Hatch.
