Sue A. Holmes, 73, of Shelbyville, IL, formerly of Findlay, IL, passed away at 1:36 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in Shelbyville Manor, Shelbyville, IL.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Red Bank, near Lakewood, IL. Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church of Findlay, IL. Arrangements by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Sue was born on May 16, 1944 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL. She is the daughter of Harold and Lucille (Edgar) Wakefield. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1962. She worked as a beautician in Pana and Shelbyville, IL for many years. Sue enjoyed baking and reading books. She was a member of First Christian Church of Findlay, IL.

She is survived by her sons, Clarence Holmes, Jr. (Lori) of Shelbyville, IL, and James Holmes (Terri) of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Gail Cox (Jim) of Charleston, IL; grandchildren, Christopher Holmes (Crystal), Brandon Holmes, Autumn Holmes, and Nathan Holmes (Jessica); and one great grandson, Logan Holmes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sherri Morris; and son-in-law, Greg Morris.
